What Is a Crane Overload Sensor (Overload Switch)?

Used on overhead cranes, gantry cranes, monorail systems and electric hoists, the BAYS series automatically stops the lifting movement when the declared maximum lifting capacity of the crane is exceeded. Installation and Calibration
- Installation: The sensor is fitted to the fixed anchor point (dead end) of the wire rope without removing the rope.
- Adjustment/Calibration: The micro switch trigger point is set with the adjusting nut according to the maximum load capacity of the crane.
- Commissioning: The electrical connection is wired in series with the hoisting contactor in the crane control panel to complete the job.
